Thanksgiving is the time of the year when we take a moment and think about what we have. Most of our days are so busy that we don't take the time to think about the things that we usually take for granted.

I am thankful for all the blessings that God gives me every single day of my life. I am also thankful for my wonderful family and friends.

What are you thankful for? Please email me with your thoughts and I will post them here! Thanks!!

~Donna writes: I am thankful to God everyday for my wonderful family: my husband Eddie, and my 3 children, Kevin, Matthew and Kristy! They make my life worthwhile. I am also thankful for my wonderful friends, who give me support when I need it.~

~Lolly writes: I am thankful for first of all the Good Lord above that watches over me. I am also thankful for a loving and healthy family. And most of all good friends like Prissy.~

~LIN 2 U writes: The whole world needs to sit down and think about the things they're thankful for instead of concentrating on all their troubles and then this world would be in much better straights. I guess I'm thankful that the good Lord made a way for us to move down here where it's relatively warm so I can be with my grandsons, the apples of my eye. He's seen to it that we're all in pretty good health and not wanting for anything and we're finally all together.~

~Fre writes: What I'm thankful for is my God, my family and my friends. I have been blessed with so much. I'm thankful for a wonderful loving husband, a wonderful loving son, people who care for and about me and I'm also thankful for the opportunity to help others whenever I can. I'm thankful for the friends I have made here on the internet. I'm thankful for my cats. The list goes on. I'm also thankful to be able to call you 'friend'.~

All in a Word

T
for time to be together, turkey, talk, and tangy weather.

H
for harvest stored away, home, and hearth, and holiday.

A
for autumn's frosty art, and abundance in the heart.

N
for neighbors, and November, nice things, new things to remember.

K
for kitchen, kettles' croon, kith and kin expected soon.

S
for sizzles, sights, and sounds, and something special that abounds.

That spells Thanks -- for joy in living and a jolly good Thanksgiving.

A Boy's Thanksgiving Day

Over the river, and through the wood,
to Grandfather's house we go;
the horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
through the white and drifted snow.

Over the river, and through the wood,
to Grandfather's house away!
We would not stop for doll or top,
for 'tis Thanksgiving Day.

Over the river, and through the wood-
when Grandmother sees us come,
She will say, "o, dear, the children are here,
bring a pie for every one."

Over the river, and through the wood-
now Grandmothers cap I spy!
Hurrah for the fun! Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!
